Bij het omzetten van zijn verslag naar deze website is zorg besteed aan het behouden van de historische waarde en de authenticiteit van zijn opgetekende herinneringen.<br><br>De gebruikte foto\u2019s zijn afkomstig uit de priv\u00e9collectie van de familie Uneputty en uit het publieke domein. Deze beelden zijn zorgvuldig geselecteerd om de omstandigheden van die tijd zo nauwkeurig mogelijk weer te geven.<br><br>Met dit verhaal willen wij op een respectvolle en integere wijze inzicht bieden in deze periode uit de geschiedenis van onze ouders, zodat toekomstige generaties de waarde van vrijheid en de lessen uit het verleden blijven begrijpen en koesteren.<br><br>Het tweetalig aanbieden van het verhaal maakt het toegankelijk voor een breder publiek dus ook buiten onze landsgrenzen, om meer kennis op te doen over de gebeurtenissen tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog op de Tanimbar-eilanden.<br><br>Heeft u vragen of opmerkingen over de inhoud, dan kunt u contact met ons opnemen. Later in life, he recorded his experiences about his period in the Japanese internment camp. In converting his report to this website, care has been taken to preserve the historical value and authenticity of his recorded memories.<br><br>The photographs used are from the Uneputty family&#8217;s private collection and from the public domain. These images have been carefully selected to reflect the conditions of the time as accurately as possible.<br><br>With this story, we aim to offer insight into this period of our parents&#8217; history with respect and integrity, so that future generations continue to understand and cherish the value of freedom and the lessons of the past.<br><br>Offering the story bilingual makes it accessible to a wider audience,  so also beyond our national borders, to learn more about the events during World War II on the Tanimbar Islands.<br><br>If you have any questions or comments about the content, please contact us.
